Since its inception Mungo Jerry have had several songs featured in the Heritage Chart – 8 Hits up to today and this will no doubt rise in 2026 and beyond.

Here is a run down of how the Heritage Charts works and how to listen or watch its weekly chart position run down. Plus each of the videos of the songs issued and their chart positions. The Heritage Chart has people from over 90 countries vote each week on the Top 40 and The Breakers to determine the following week’s chart.

Heritage has both a radio and a TV show, the only radio station playing great new music from Heritage artists as well as their classics and and includes presenters such as Mike Read and Dave Lee Travis.

The Heritage TV Chart show is available from 7pm on their website – www.heritagechart.co.uk and on the following TV channels on XPTV1 across the UK, the rest of Europe, the USA & Canada on Thursday at 20:00 on Pop World TV.

It is also available across the UK, the rest of Europe, the USA & Canada Sunday’s at 19:00 and mid-day Monday, on Now 80s TV very late at night on Thursday & Saturday mornings, also on Talking Pictures TV, and KKDJTV on Monday evening across California.

Many local UK stations play out programs from their archive once a week. Mungo Jerry have featured regularly on the chart for some time now with a fair degree of success.

THAT’S THE COLOUR OF LOVE – No.3 June 2021

Taken from the 2022 album, Somelight, it was ‘Record Of The Month’ on Radio Glamorgan and previously featured on an Japanese TV advert – for mayonnaise.

HAPPY TO BE – No.3 September 2022

Another track taken from the Somelight CD and another No.3 hit in the chart.

LET’S DO IT AGAIN – No.23 December 2022

The last track gleaned from the Somelight release.

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT – No.7 August 2023

Not many fans knew that there was an extra verse that was omitted from the huge Mungo Jerry hit in 1973 at Barry Murray’s suggestion. Darren’s on bass and Bob plays the drums in a similar style to original drummer, Paul Hancox.

THAT IS WHY (I’M SO IN LOVE WITH YOU) – No.7 June 2024

This one was a song that had been around for quite some time in demo form but this completed version comes from the forthcoming CD, Undefinable.

IN THE SUMMERTIME 2024 – No.4 September 2024

This updated version of the huge Mungo Jerry hit in 1970 came from the Ten Grooves In Glorious Mono LP.

ALWAYS TIME FOR COFFEE – No.23 December 2024

Another from the next Mungo Jerry album, Undefinable it peaked at a slightly disappointing 23 on the Heritage Chart. Still, yet another hit.

IN THE SUMMERTIME (A Taste Of Latin) – No.4 August 2025

A track that was released many years ago was re-released in 2025, hoping that it would prove to be popular with holiday makers in the present day. So it proved!

SNAKEBITE – No.6 December 2025

A complete change of style with the rocking Snakebite and released to promote the 7a Records re-issue, Snakebite Revisited.
