Here is our photo gallery (page 2), that consists of a selection of shots belonging to our friends, Ray Clegg and John Burton.

CLEGGY’S PHOTOS

After a Mungo Jerry gig at the Processed Pea in September 2009,  Ray Clegg sent me a collection of photographs taken over the years during his involvement with the band.

For those who don’t know, Ray was Road Manager for Mungo Jerry throughout a large part of the 70’s and became a real pal, getting me into gigs all over the place.

It shames me to say that I just didn’t recognise him at the ‘Pea’, his long curly black locks had been and gone, so it took a while for the penny to drop when we met up again.

These snaps were taken and sent in by John Burton, the webmaster of former Mungo man, Paul King’s website – paulkinginfo.

The gig took place on the 29th of August, 2004.

HOLLYWOOD REVISITED – 2005

Once again, the Hollywood Revisited weekend held in Newcastle Under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent to celebrate 35 years of Mungo Jerry, In The Summertime and the Hollywood Festival was a resounding success.

Kicking off with a special gig at the Coppice Special School in Newcastle on the 18th of June, Ray was joined on stand-up bass by original band member Mike Cole, playing with Ray for the first time since the early 70’s, and drummer James Davis for a jug band style session which managed to start late and finish later!

On a steaming hot night befitting the band who had had such a monster hit all those years ago with the mighty In The Summertime, the guys gave a superb performance in the school hall/gym, in front of many fan club members and friends and staff from the school.

For the following days gig at The Forum Theatre, Stoke-on Trent, guitarist, Tim Green  had flown in from his home in Germany especially for the gig and Australian bass player, Rex Horam who was standing in for Matt Round who had a prior engagement.
