The first video in Rocktalk, back in 2016, sees Ray Dorset talking about the origins of Mungo Jerry.
He also talks about his sacking from the band in 1972. It was overturned by the management and of course, the rest is history.
MUNGO JERRY – ‘SONG-BY-SONG’ BOOK
The release date is now the 26th of May 2025 to coincide (more-or-less) with 55 years since the release of the big one, In The Summertime.
It is our book Mungo Jerry Song-by-Song. Some last minute amendments meant we missed the cut-off point for the 22nd.
Alan Taylor, Derek Wadeson, John Van der Kiste, Stuart Turner and Mick O’Hanlon – have reviewed the works of Mungo Jerry.
This includes the maxi-singles, singles, albums and overseas releases.
We have also reviewed fan club only product and recorded but not released material including demos and acetates.
The book features full colour sleeves throughout with comments from Ray Dorset himself.
Pictured is Derek Wadeson double checking a proof copy while enjoying some holiday sunshine getting ready for In The Summertime.
The book will be available to order in both Paperback (now 343 pages) and Kindle form, exclusively through Amazon and we will post full details on the website and Kevin’s FB page.
The second video has Ray talking to camera in Bielefeld, Germany with more memories from his career.
The third video in the series sees Ray answering some questions from fans – keep them coming.
