The eagerly awaited book, Mungo Jerry * Song-By-Song became available on the 26th of May, 2025.
You can only buy the book from Amazon, pretty much worldwide, and it was made available then to coincide with 55 years since the release of the big one, In The Summertime.
Five of us – Alan Taylor, Derek Wadeson, John Van der Kiste, Stuart Turner and Mick O’Hanlon – have reviewed the works of Mungo Jerry which includes the maxi-singles, singles, albums, overseas releases, fan club only product and recorded but not released material including demos and acetates.
Song-By Song, (343 pages), features full colour sleeves throughout with comments from Ray Dorset himself.
The book is available to order both in Paperback (£19.99 in the UK) and Kindle (£5.99 in the UK), exclusively through Amazon.

“It looks great, well done to you all. Enjoying the excellent, new Mungo Jerry Song-By-Song book on the beach. If you haven’t got your copy yet, we strongly recommend you get a copy from Amazon. “…Glenn Gretlund, 7a Records.
“I want to congratulate you on the brilliant production of the encyclopedia song-by-song book. It is a singularly marvellous work and one that I am hugely proud to be associated with”…Mick O’Hanlon.
“Got my copy of couple of weeks ago and I spent the next weekend speeding through it cover to cover. Since then I’ve kept delving into it, and finding it very helpful identifying the gaps in my MJ record collection. Based on that I’ve also just acquired the CD set of The Albums 1976-81. I’ve already got some, but not all of these on vinyl, and this is a really great value way of collecting them all on CD format. Just UK£14.99 for five albums, plus bonus tracks is tremendous value!

“Lovin’ in the Alleys album really rocks, and my favourite track here is Lovin’ in The Mornin’ played really, really loud!
“The Together Again album is new to me, and I’m enjoying its more relaxed contemplative style.
“It’s nice to have something new to both read and listen to from the Mungo world. Only things missing are signatures from the esteemed friends and authors on the book.
Thanks a lot Alan, Derek, John, Stuart and Mick…Mike Berry.
“It looks great”…Andy Harrison.
